Financial Aid
Financial assistance is available and will be awarded by the MIFC administrative team and board. To apply for financial aid, during registration via PlayMetrics, you will be prompted to fill out the Financial Aid questionnaire, and will be able to upload the required supporting documentation. Please have all forms ready before starting online registration. Financial aid applications will be assessed twice per month, in order to ensure that all players in all programs have equal access to aid funds.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds of MIFC registration fees will only be granted in the event of a change in the status of the player. Possible reasons for granting a refund include a change in the player’s health, a change of address, a change in family status, or similar consideration.
Recreational, Microsoccer and Juniors Programs
The amount of refunds granted will be determined as follows:
• On or prior to July 15th, 100% of the registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.
• From July 16th through Aug 15th, 85% of the registration fee.
• After Aug 15th, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player’s health preventing that player from practicing or playing with the team or if the family is moving off Mercer Island. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event exceed 85% of the registration fee.
Select and XL Programs
The amount of refunds granted will be determined as follows:
• On or prior to July 15th, 50% of the total registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.
• After July 15th, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player’s health preventing that player from practicing or playing with the team or if the family is moving off Mercer Island. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event exceed 50% of the registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.
Fees paid to team treasurers for the costs of team operating expenses are not refundable. Refunds for uniform costs are governed strictly by the policy of the vendor from which the uniform was purchased. Select tryout fees are not refundable.
All other MIFC Programs (Camps, Academies, Etc.)
Refunds granted prior to the start of the camp, academy or other program will equal 85% of the registration fee for the program. No refunds will be granted after the beginning of the program.
