Refund Policy

Refund Policy


Due to COVID 19 and the potential affects it will have on the start of our fall program, if MIFC has delayed starts or cancelations to Fall programs, this will result in partial to full refunds. This decision will override our general refund policy but will be based only on delayed or cancelled programs.

Refunds of MIFC registration fees will only be granted in the event of a change in the status of the player. Possible reasons for granting a refund include a change in the player’s health, a change of address, a change in family status, or similar consideration.

Recreational, Microsoccer and Juniors Programs

The amount of refunds granted will be determined as follows:

  • On or prior to June 15th, 100% of the registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.
  • From June 16th through July 15th, 85% of the registration fee. 
  • After July 15th, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player’s health preventing that player from practicing or playing with the team or if the family is moving off Mercer Island. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event exceed 85% of the registration fee.
     
  • Juniors: Refunds for uniform costs are governed strictly by the policy of the vendor from which the uniform was purchased.

The amount of refunds granted will be determined as follows: 

  • On or prior to July 15th, 50% of the total registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.
  • After July 15th, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player’s health preventing that player from practicing or playing with the team or if the family is moving off Mercer Island. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event exceed 50% of the registration fee, less $25 to cover administration fees.

Fees paid to team treasurers for the costs of team operating expenses are not refundable. Refunds for uniform costs are governed strictly by the policy of the vendor from which the uniform was purchased.

Select tryout fees are not refundable.  

All other MIFC Programs (Camps, Academies, Etc.)

Refunds granted prior to the start of the camp, academy or other program will equal 85% of the registration fee for the program. No refunds will be granted after the beginning of the program.
